Study
A randomized interval is scheduled privately. No visible countdown.
A calmer study rhythm
RecallMode privately schedules your next break inside a range you choose. When the cue arrives, finish the current thought, take a short quiet break, then optionally recall what you just learned.
Stay with the material
Keep studying normally. RecallMode will let you know when rest is due.
The RecallMode flow
The break tone means “finish at the next logical point,” not “stop immediately.” You stay in control of when the break actually begins.
A randomized interval is scheduled privately. No visible countdown.
A gentle cue tells you rest is due without forcing an abrupt stop.
Finish the sentence, question, problem, or idea you are working on.
Take a short break. Silence is the recommended break environment.
Optionally retrieve the main ideas before beginning the next interval.
The study countdown stays out of sight. The launch default is a randomized 20–30 minute study interval.
Breaks launch at 3–5 minutes by default, with quiet rest recommended rather than more stimulation.
After a break, an optional prompt asks how clearly you can retrieve the main ideas without looking back.
Optional focus audio
RecallMode works without audio beyond the short cues. Optional focus sound is bundled locally inside the extension.
Local-first by design
RecallMode does not need to read the page you are studying. Settings, session state, and history are stored locally in Chrome.
Evidence-informed, careful claims
RecallMode draws on research around distributed practice, wakeful rest, and retrieval practice. Randomized timing is an experimental product hypothesis; RecallMode does not claim that random intervals are scientifically proven to outperform fixed schedules.
